Mr. Wm. Pratt
A Co-operative Pioneer
Death of a Wollaston Octogenarian

The death took place on Tuesday of an old and esteemed inhabitant of Wollaston, Mr. Wm. Pratt, aged 82 years, whose wife, who is in her 80th year, lives in St. Michael’s-lane. Last October Mr. and Mrs. Pratt celebrated their diamond wedding, having been married at Doddington in 1854. The late Mr. Pratt had worked on most of the farms in the parish as a labourer.

He was one of the founders of the Wollaston Co-operative Society, and served as treasurer for many years, until his death. He was one of the oldest members of Court Goodwill A.O.F. Much sympathy will be extended towards the widow, son and daughter.
