Died of WoundsMrs. Wm Payne, High-street, Irchester, has received news of the death of her son, Pte. W. Payne, Manchester Regt., who was wounded on March 21st by gunshot, and died in No. 11 Stationary Hospital, France. He had been in France for ten months, and was expecting to come on leave. Before joining up he was head gardener to Capt. Esme Arkwright, Sharnbrook House. He leaves a wife and children.
