| Born Wollaston. 1901 living in Wall Terrace, Wollaston with father, Walter aged 31, mother, Minnie aged 28, sisters Florence 7 and Annie 4, and brother William 2. He was a regular soldier; in 1911 he was in barracks in Malta with 2nd Northants as a private and was promoted to Cpl during WWI. |

Irchester Soldier Wounded
Intimation has been received at Irchester that Private F Partridge, of Irchester, was wounded on March 12. Two days before, a postcard was received saying he was quite well.

Irchester Man’s Death
Private Fred Partridge Succumbs to Wounds
Mrs Walter Partridge, Irchester, has received new that her son, Private Fred Partridge, Northants Regt., has succumbed to wounds in the chest received in France on August 25th. The late Pte. Partridge, who was 24 years of age, had been previously wounded on March 15th last year, and was sent back to the western front in the following September. He had served upwards of eight years with the colours.
