The deceased lady, who would have been 88 years of age in September next, was the widow of Mr. Stephen Parsons, who died on January 4th. 1911, after an active public life in his native village of Irchester. Mr. and Mrs. Parsons celebrated their diamond wedding on January 26th, 1907, having been married at Keysoe Parish Church on January 26th, 1847. The late Mrs. Parsons was a native of Higham Ferrers, her maiden name being Miss Woolston. She had been a very active lady, and had been able to get about surprisingly well up to Sunday week, when she became somewhat unwell. She medically attended, and her doctor, on Tuesday, advised her to keep to her bed. On Thursday she was seized with a stroke, which deprived her of the use of her right side. After that she was unable to speak, but was fairly comfortable. The end came on Monday morning at about a quarter to eight.

Mrs. Parsons was held in high esteem in Irchester and district. By her death her two sons, Mr. Charles Arthur Parsons and Mr. John Edward Parsons, both of Irchester, are bereaved. Messrs. Caleb and George Parsons, of Irthlingborough, and Mr. Edward Parsons, of Irchester, are nephews of the deceased lady.
