Father Of Five Children - Soldier Missing In Mediterranean Theatre
  Pte. Robert Parkinson, Northamptonshire Regiment, second son of Mrs. I. Parkinson, of 54, Highfield-road, Rushden, and husband of Mrs. B. Parkinson, of 12, Midland-road, Raunds, is reported “missing” in the Central Mediterranean theatre of war. 

  Pte. Parkinson is 34 years of age and joined the Territorials six weeks before the outbreak of war, being called up immediately.  He was in Ireland for a long time and was home last Christmas, going overseas in January.  Prior to the war he worked for Messrs. Keunen Bros., Ltd., of Irthlingborough, and was a keen billiards payer and member of the Woodbine Club at Raunds.  There are five children.  One brother is serving with the R.E.M.E.
