Rushden Echo & Argus, 6th May 1932, transcribed by Kay Collins
The Late Miss Nutter

Wymington
References were made at the Parish Church on Sunday evening by the Rector (the Rev. A S Dodds) to the memory of the late Miss Nutter who was headmistress of the Wymington School for 28 years and who passed away in her sleep on April 19th, at her residence at Norwich. He spoke from the text, Acts XIII, 36, “For David, after he had served his generation by the will of God, fell in sleep.” In the course of his sermon, the Rector said that Miss Nutter was an earnest Christian and that was shown both in the earnestness of her work in the day school and also in the way she used her Sundays for the children. The influence of Miss Nutter had left an indelible memory on the whole parish. At the close of the service the Dead March from “Saul” was impressively rendered by the organist, Mr W Smith.
