Mrs. G. Norman of Higham Ferrers

The death occurred on Saturday at the age of 75 years of Mrs. Gertrude Norman of 16, Commercial Street, Higham Ferrers.

A native of Stanwick, she was the widow of the late Mr. Charles Norman, a well-known baker at Higham Ferrers, who about 12 years ago was licensee of the “Vine” Inn, Irthlingborough and who died seven years ago. Mrs. Norman leaves one brother, Mr. Thomas Charles, of Leicester and one sister, Mrs. Maycock, of Stony Stratford. The funeral took place on Tuesday and the service was held in the Parish Church, the vicar, the Rev. P. Kirk, officiating.

The mourners were Mr. T. Charles, Leicester (brother), Mrs. W. E. Fortescue, Rushden (niece) and Mr. Fortescue, Mr. H. Sanders (nephew) and Mrs. Sanders, Mrs. Dilley, Higham Ferrers (niece) and Mrs. Blake and Mrs. Ferrar (friends). Mrs. Maycock, Stony Stratford (sister) was unable to attend owing to indisposition.

Messrs. A. Sanders Ltd., Rushden carried out the funeral arrangements.
