FATALLY GASSED - Pte. William Neal, aged 30, R. L. King's Own Regiment, who was severely gassed on August 25th, died two days later in the 2nd Canadian Hospital in France. He was the youngest son of Mrs. E. Neal, of Berrill-street, Irchester. Before joining the Army he was first footman to the Earl of Ducie. He joined up on August 27th, 1916, and has been on active service for a considerable time. He was invalided home in the spring, and was for some time in the Brighton Hospital, suffering with a bad thigh.
