Rev. William Monk

Wellingborough News, 10th February 1883, transcribed by Kay Collins

Wymington - DEATH OF THE RECTOR—In addition to the loss to the parish reported in our last issue [Edwin Goosey], we regret to have to record the death of the rector, the Rev. William Monk. The rev. gentleman had experienced a long and painful illness, which terminated in his death. He was in the 85 year of his age, and had been Rector for nearly 20 years, during, which time he had had the best interests of the parish fully at heart. He was much and generally esteemed.
