Mr George Meadows, of Podington

On Thursday week the funeral took place of Mr George Meadows, of Top End, Podington, whose death occurred the previous Tuesday after a long and painful illness. The deceased, who was eighty years old, was a native of the village. The Rev A W Collins conducted the service. The mourners were: Mrs Meadows (widow), Miss May Meadows (daughter), Mr and Mrs E J Meadows, Bedford (son and daughter-in-law), Mr G Meadows (son), Miss Edith Meadows (grand-daughter), Mrs Kitchener, Luton (daughter), Mrs Watts, Earls Barton (daughter-in-law), Mr and Mrs A Meadows, Wymington (son and daughter-in-law), Mr and Mrs O Meadows, Rushden (son and daughter-in-law), Mr and Mrs Hodgkins, Harrold (son-in-law and daughter), Masters Jack and Arthur Walker, Wellingborough (grandsons), Master Tom Meadows and Miss Lily Watts, Earls Barton (grandson and granddaughter), Miss Vera Watts, Earls Barton (great-grand-daughter), and Mr Simpson, Birmingham (friend).
