Missing Chorister Presumed Killed
Mr. and Mrs. A. Lubbock, Eastfield-road, Wollaston, have received official information that their youngest son, Pte. Ray Lubbock, 2nd Suffolk Regiment, who has been missing since March 28th 1918, was presumed killed on that date. He was 21 years of age, and joined up in January 1916, going to France the following September. He was wounded in June 1917. Prior to enlistment, he was employed in the grocery department of the Wollaston Co-operative Society, and was an esteemed member of the Wesleyan Choir, and Sunday School teacher.
