Funeral of Mr Arthur Lovell

The funeral of Mr Arthur Lovell, oldest male inhabitant of Higham Ferrers, who passed away on Monday, January 17th, took place at Higham on Thursday week, the service in the Parish Church being conducted by the Rector of Rushden (the Rev. E. A. Green).

The mourners were: Mr C. H. Lovell, Mrs M. Lovell, Mr H. E. Lovell, Mrs C. H. Lovell, Mr and Mrs A. E. Lovell, Mr and Mrs T J Lovell, and Mr and Mrs E. W. Lovell (sons and daughters-in-law). Mr A. Bailey (brother-in-law), Mrs O Clayson, Miss N Lovell, Miss E Lovell, Mrs H Keller, Miss Olive Lovell and Miss E Barratt (granddaughters). Friends who were present included Mrs A. Patenall, Rushden, Mr William Webb, Mrs K. Bailey and several Bedesmen.

Mr H. C. Lovell (son) was unable to attend.

The family wreaths were: In ever loving memory of Father, to us, one of the best that ever lived; In affectionate remembrance of our dear Grandpa from his grandsons and granddaughters.

The Co-operative Federal Funeral Service carried out the arrangements.
