Official information has been received that Pte. Robert Loakes, of the East Yorks Regt., youngest son of Mr. Wm. Loakes, London-road, Wollaston, was killed in France on November 29th. He was only 19 years of age, and enlisted about two years ago. He was formerly in the employ of Mr. L. Austin, shoe manufacturer, Wollaston.
