Mrs. Letts

OBITUARY—We regret to have to report the death of Mrs. Letts, wife of Mr. John Letts, shoe manufacturer of this village, who passed away on Thursday of last week at the age of 48 years, after a long and painful illness. The funeral took place last Tuesday in the cemetery, the officiating minister being Mr. John Horden of Wellingborough, and the mournful ceremony was attended by a number of the members and Sunday School teachers of the Wesleyan Chapel, with which Mrs. Letts had been connected for over 30 years. The principal mourners were Mr. John Letts; Mrs. Darnell, mother; Mr. and Mrs. Ashbee, Chesterfield; Mr. and Mrs. Darnell, brother and sister; Mr. Darnell, uncle; Mr. J. and Miss George, Higham Ferrers; Mr. and Mrs Nobles; Mr. and Mrs. Laughton; Mrs. Letts, senr., and Messrs. S. and J. Letts. Splendid wreaths were given by the relations and friends of the deceased, and much sympathy is felt for Mr. Letts in his sad bereavement.
