Dvr. Alfred Joseph Jackson, R.E., third son of Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Jackson, of 31 High-street, Higham Ferrers, has died of wounds in France.

Dvr. Jackson came to the district with his parents from London about four years ago, and his father now has a brush-making business. He was married and his widow lives in London.

He was 22 years of age and had been in the Army a little over two years. Formerly he worked for Messrs. Gee, Walker and Slater. His three brothers are in the Forces, one being in France.
