Private Higby was Killed in Action

He was employed by Raunds Distributive Co-Operative Society and was the brother of John Brackley Higby who died of wounds 15th March 1917.

Missing—Mr. and Mrs. W. Higby, of High-street, Raunds, received news on Monday that their youngest son, Pte. Ralph Higby, Beds. Regt., had been missing since May 3rd believed killed. This is the second son they have lost in the war on the western front. Pte. Ralph Higby, on leaving school, worked for the Co-operative Society. He was 19 years of age.
