Lance-Corpl. Hensman Killed—News has reached Mrs. Hensman, who lives with her mother at 52 Ferrestone-road, Wellingborough, that her husband, Lance-Corporal Samuel Hesnman, Royal Engineers, was killed instantaneously by shell-fire at the front on Aug. 18th. A letter from an officer of the R.E.’s pays tribute to Lance-Corpl. Hensman’s services, and expresses sympathy towards the beraved relatives. The deceased soldier was the second son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Hensman, of Wollaston-road, Irchester. Before joining up in March 1916, he worked at Market Harborough. He went to France last September.
