Has Given His Life Irchester Naval Boy Killed on War Service
Mr. and Mrs. Francis, of 7 Chapel-yard, Irchester, have received a telegram from the Admiralty, giving the sad news that their son is missing.
The telegram reads: “We regret to inform you that your son, 2nd Class Boy Charles Alec Francis is missing, presumed killed, on war service.” The boy would have reached his 17th birthday in August next. He joined the Exmouth Training Ship, from a home where he had been living for some years, two years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Francis have a soldier son at present serving in India, and a 15 year-old son at home.
