Raunds - SUDDEN DEATH—Mr. George Finding, a coal merchant, of this village, was found dead in his cart on Thursday morning. It appears that he left intending to go to Thrapston by the 9.20 a.m. train, but being too late he took a pony and trap, and went up the Keyston-road and along the Denford Mere-road or lane. This road being but an earthern road, without stone and in a most wretched condition, he was obliged to get out and push it along, and received some assistance from a lad who was passing along the lane. Some time after this Mr. Elderkin, of Thrapston, rode along the lane and saw the pony and trap standing there, and getting to it he found Mr. Finding in the cart dead. Deceased was taken home but no inquest was deemed necessary, deceased having been in the doctor's hands some little time previously. Death as attributed to over exertion and excitement in pushing the cart along the lane, and their action on the heart, which was diseased. Deceased was 55 years of age.
