Wellingborough News, 21st January 1887, transcribed by Kay Collins
OBITUARYWe have this week to record the death of Mr. T. Fields, late pastor of the Baptist Chapel, Raunds, who died on Saturday last after a short illness. Deceased was the pastor of the Baptist Chapel over 40 years ago, but afterwards resigned the charge and left the village. From that period till within the last few years he laboured in other parts of the country. Three or four years ago however he came again to Raunds and by the invitation of the church resumed his old pastorate, a position he held till about a year and a half ago, when increasing years and feeble health caused him to resign. He subsequently married Mrs. Arnsby, the widow of the late Mr. Lot Arnsby, by whom he was well provided for, and with whom he lived happily and in ease and comfort till his death. Deceased was much respected amongst the large circle of Baptist friends amongst whom he had laboured. He had just entered upon the 77th year of his age.
