Tribute to Little Irchester Soldier
Mr. Thos. Fairey, of 6 Higham-road, Little Irchester, whose son, Pte. A. E. Fairey, of the Northants Regiment, was killed in action on March 30th, has received a letter from Capt. A. Marshall. This states that Pte. Fairey was killed instantly by a piece of shell striking him at the back of the head. He adds that deceased was an excellent soldier, and died at his post like a soldier, more than which no man can do.
