The death occurred in Northampton Hospital on Sunday at the age of 63 of Mr. Samuel Etheridge, landlord of the Marquess of Granby, Wollaston.
Although a native of Northampton, Mr. Etheridge spent a large portion of his life at Kettering, where he was a partner in the Excel Boot Co., and during that period was secretary of the Kettering Rifle Band Club and of the Kettering Hospital Billiards Tournament. He left Kettering just under two years ago for Wollaston and leaves a widow and two daughters, Mrs. E. Pettitt, of Kettering, and Mrs. C. Palmer, of Irthlingborough.
The funeral will be at Kettering cemetery on Thursday.
Mr. George Robinson, undertaker, Croyland-road. Wellingborough, has the arrangements in hand.
