The Funeral of the late Mrs. Sarah Drage, of Bozeat, who passed away on Thursday, April 26th, at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Sharpe, of 12 Station-road, Rushden, took place at Bozeat on Monday in the presence of many sympathisers. The Rev. C. J. Keeler, of the Independent Wesleyan Church, Rushden, officiated. The first portion of the obsequies was conducted in the Independent Wesleyan Chapel, with which cause the deceased lady was associated for so many years, having been a member from the church’s establishment. Mr. Keeler referred in sympathetic terms to the life and influence of the late Mrs. Drage. Two of her favourite hymns, “Jesu, Lover of my soul” and “There is a land of pure delight,” were sung, Mrs. Lack presiding at the organ. A large number, including many of the representatives of the church assembled at the graveside. The coffin which was of polished elm with brass fittings, bore the inscription:-

Died April 26h 1917.
Aged 87 years.
The mourners comprised the deceased lady’s sons and daughters and grandchildren, and several intimate friends also followed. The funeral arrangements were carried out by Mr. T. Swindall (Rushden).
A number of beautiful floral tributes were placed on the grave.
