Killed—Mrs. Dams, Primrose-hill, Raunds, has received news that her husband, Pte. W. Dams, Essex Regiment, died on Sept. 19th. The deceased soldier, who was 37 years of age, leaves a widow and two boys. He joined up on, October 1st last, and went to France on February 1st. Mrs. Dams received a letter from him on Monday, saying that he was all right, so the bad news came as a great shock. Formerly deceased was a butcher.
