Raunds Airman Missing

News has been received by Mr and Mrs E. Coles, of "Titty-Ho," Raunds, that their son, Sgt.-Pilot Ivan Coles, R.A.F., is missing from Middle East flying operations. Sergt.-Pilot Coles joined up in September, 1941, going overseas to Canada for training in January, 1942. He returned to this country the following December, and went to the Middle East in June last year. Before joining up he was employed at Barclays Bank, Thrapston. Twenty years of age, he was educated at Raunds Council and Kimbolton Grammar Schools.

His elder brother, Cpl. Raymond Coles, is with the Barrage Balloons, and a sister, L.A.CW Betty Coles, is in the W.A.A.F.
