Mr J Chambers

The funeral of Mr J Chambers, of Red-row, Chelveston, took place on Friday. The service was conducted by the Rev C Ayton Williams. The family mourners were: Mrs Chambers (widow), Mrs Tilley, Mr and Mrs E Chambers, Mr and Mrs I Middleton, Mr and Mrs E Chambers, Mr and Mrs Sauntson (sons and daughters, daughters-in-law and sons-in-law), Miss Tilley and Mr Tilley (grandchildren), Mrs Rollings, Mrs Saddington, Mr and Mrs Dickens, Mrs Baxter, Miss Curtis, Mrs Sparks (sisters, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law), Mrs Webb (niece).

Also present at the graveside were Mr and Mrs H Watts, Mr Felce, Mr Harris and Mr Baxter (friends). Representing the Working Men’s Club were Mr G Britten, Mr Bettles and Mr Stuart. Mrs Harrison and Mrs Cooney (sisters) were unable to attend owing to illness.
