Rushden Echo, 23rd November 1917, transcribed by Kay Collins
BereavementMr and Mrs Arthur Chambers, of Lancaster-street, have sustained bereavement in the sudden death, which took place on Sunday morning last, of their four-months-old daughter. Mr Chambers, who was formerly clerk at the M.R. passenger station, Rushden, is now with the Colours, being in the Royal Naval Division in training. A telegram containing the sad news of the little one’s death was sent to him, and he was granted leave. The funeral took place yesterday at Leicester, the home of Mr Chambers, Mr Fred Parker making the arrangements. Several floral tributes were sent by the neighbours and friends.
