Killed—Mrs. Archer, Workhouse-yard, has received official news that her son, Pte. George Archer, Norfolk Regiment, was killed in action on October 8th. He was 32 years of age.

Raunds soldier killed

Mrs. Archer of Workhouse Yard, Raunds, has received official news that her son, Pte. George Archer, Norfolk Regt., was killed in action on 8th October last. Pte. Archer, who was 32 years of age, joined up in August 1916, had served in France 22 months and had been home on leave once. Previous to enlistment he was employed by Messrs. E.W. Stanley (Raunds) Ltd.
