Born and enlisted at Raunds.
He had three daughters and before the war he worked for John Horrell & Son as a shoe finisher.

Killed in Action - Bereavement of a Raunds Family

Mrs. Wm. Andrews has received the sad news that her husband, Pte. William Andrews, of the Northants Regt., was killed on the 1st July last. Pte. Andrews was the eldest son of Mrs. A. Webb, of Chelveston-road, Raunds, and previous to enlistment worked for Messrs. J. Horrell and Son, shoe manufacturers, Raunds. He was 27 years of age, and leaves a wife and three young children.
