A Nonagenarian

Wollaston’s oldest inhabitant, in the person of Mrs. Frances Partridge, the widow of the late Mr. Benjamin Partridge, passed away on Sunday, after a lengthy illness in her 92nd year. Deceased was a native of Wollaston, where she was held in great esteem, her services for many years as a sick visitor having been greatly appreciated in the village. The above photograph was taken four years ago, on which occasion she walked unaided into Wellingborough for the purpose.

The funeral took place on Wednesday afternoon, the service at the Baptist Chapel and at the graveside being conducted by the Rev. C. H. Higgs. Four nephews acted as bearers and the mourners were: Mr. J.S. Partridge (son), Mrs. M.H. Askew (daughter), Odell; Mr. George Partridge (son) Wellingborough; Mrs. G. Pickering (daughter), Little Harrowden; Mr. F. Partridge (son), Earls Barton; Mr. A.W. Partridge (son);  Mr. R.C. Partridge (grandson); Mrs. G. Partridge (daughter in law).
