Ringstead

Ringstead is an extensive village and parish, in the hundred of Higham Ferrers, and diocese of Peterborough, situate on the river Nene, 2½ miles south from Thrapston. The population in 1851 was 640, and the parish contains about 2,000 acres of land. The Church is a very ancient edifice, and in good repair; the living is a vicarage, annexed to that of Denford. There are places of worship for Baptists and Wesleyans, also a station on the Northampton and Peterborough Branch of the London and North Western Railway.

Post Office—Noah Green, postmaster. Letters arrive at 7.30a.m., and dispatched at 4.50p.m., through Thrapston.
