Easton Maudit is a village and parish in the hundred of Higham Ferrers, diocese of Peterborough, and archdeaconry of Northampton, distant 9 miles east of Northampton, and 6½ south from Wellingborough. The population in 1851 was 217, and the parish contains about 1,764 acres of land. The Church is dedicated to St. Peter and St. Paul; the living is a discharged vicarage, and incumbency of the Rev. Henry Smith, M.A. The Marquis of Northampton is lord of the manor.
