Valentine T Woolley of Raunds
Pork Butchers

In 1961 he was trading at 16 The Square and 31 Rotten Row in Raunds. In the mid 1960s he opened another shop at 42 High Street, Higham Ferrers, and two in Wellingborough at 39 Havelock Street and 105 Mill Road. In 1968 the Rotten Row shop was the slaughterhouse and they were manufacturing at Clare Street, with a new shop at Irthlingborough, and Havelock Street, Wellingborough was closed. In 1974 the Higham shop had moved 4 doors down to number 50 High Street.

Wooley's Home-made Lard,
rendered from pig fat, sold in 1lb greaseproof packets.
