Regulation Boot Co. (Raunds) Limited

THE business has only recently been established but has made great headway, and is producing some of the finest boots for the Government which it is possible to obtain, and are making about 2,400 weekly. They have large quantities of all descriptions of Army work, and 'make with equal facility Long Boots for Torpedo Service, which have to stand the test of 8 hours in water 12 inches deep before being approved, the British or Russian ankle and the Mounted Service or Cossack boots. At the moment they have thousands of sea-boots to repair, and are making sound, substantial boots again from these half worn-out goods. The Regulation Boot Co., Ltd., have extensive premises at Raunds, and every inch of room is fully occupied. They have also all the best machinery obtainable, and much expert labour for producing the reliable goods they are turning out.

The Manager is Mr. Harry Nichols, than whom there is no better judge of Army work, nor one more capable of producing such lines as pass the inspector at headquarters. He comes of a family of Army contractors, and was for 30 years sole owner of W. Nichols & Son; indeed the name of Nichols has been connected with the business since 1817. What Mr. Nichols does not know about Army work is scarcely worth knowing, and he is credited with having worked to more patterns for the Admiralty and War Office than anyone else in the trade. He is displaying marked enthusiasm in the new business, and having no connection with any other is doing his utmost to serve the country, the trade, and the Regulation Boot Co., Ltd.
