Charles Parker
Proprietor:— Owen Parker, J.P.
Higham Ferrers Northants

The factory in Midland Road
The factory in Midland Road
THE late Mr. Charles Parker established this well-known firm in 1874. In 1886 a large factory was built to meet the increasing demands for the firm's productions, and in 1892 considerable enlargements took place. The whole was unfortunately destroyed in 1905 and the present fine premises erected in 1906.

This, in brief, is the history of the house of Charles Parker, but it gives no account of their importance in the trade nor the high-minded and
conscientious regard they have for all who do business with the firm. Their productions are the equal of the best Northampton houses, and in the County they set a high standard of excellence for their goods, and in the trade enjoy a reputation not exceeded by any in the Empire for all that is upright and honourable in British trading.

Since the War the firm have been very largely engaged upon Army work for the British and Allied Governments.

Mr. Owen Parker, J.P., is President of the Federation, and has in an unique manner the confidence of the whole trade—both employers and employed. During the war he has been of the utmost service to the State, sacrificing time, trade, and health itself that he might do something for his country in her hour of need. That this will be remembered in happier times none can doubt, but whatever happens the firm of Charles Parker and its head, Mr. Owen Parker, can look back honest and unashamed upon all their transactions during this terrible stress and strain.
