The newly-formed Irchester Youth Trust were unfortunate in not being able to stage a full programme of events arranged for Saturday at Grange Farm. The proceedings commenced with a procession headed by the band of Wollaston Boy Scouts, followed by the local Scouts contingent to the War memorial where they were joined by a fancy dress parade, which added a colourful note. The committee also had a grocery stall in the Co-operative Hall. Mr W. Brawn, of Wollaston, judged the entries for the fruit and vegetable show, and Mesdames F. Dunmore, F. Parsons and T. Denton were the judges for the fancy dress. |
