Rushden Echo & Argus, 24th November 1944, transcribed by Kay Collins

Infant Welfare—The annual meeting of the Infant Welfare Centre was held in the Methodist Schoolroom on November 16th, Nurse Millgate presiding. It was stated that the past year had been very successful both as regards the work of the Centre and financially, a balance in hand of nearly £20 being shown. Nurse Millgate thanked Mrs. G. Chambers for her secretarial work and also for her assistance with the sale of foods, etc. Mrs. E. Waplington (registrar) said the attendance had been satisfactory and was most encouraging.
