CAMPING—The 1st Higham troop of Boy Scouts left a fine impression at Hargrave when, by kind permission of Canon Tibbs, they spent their Whitsun holiday in his paddock at the Rectory. The boys went into their scouting activity in earnest. They attended the church service on Sunday, and the rest of the holiday was spent in cricket and other games. A good number of parents came to see the lads and expressed their admiration of the way the camp was being run. The boys had a fine time when Canon Tibbs showed them over his museum, some of them receiving little gifts. Four boys passed their first class cooking test and received congratulations from friends of the Canon, who on seeing the dinner said it was excellent. The closing scenes of the holiday were impressive. Packing up all their equipment except their flag, the boys lined up under the Union Jack in the presence of Canon Tibbs, who was thanked by Mr. Thomas. Then with bowed heads they were led in prayer. The flag was lowered after the salute.
