Higham Ferrers - Outing—Children of the Baptist Church Sunday School enjoyed a very pleasant outing on Saturday to Ridgemont, where tea was provided. The journey was then continued to Woburn Park and Bedford. The arrangements were made by Mr S L Hunt and Mr T C Woods.

[extract from 1932 obituary] In Higham Ferrers, the Baptist Mission found in him a ready and willing worker, and he had been the Superintendent of the Sunday School ever since its foundation 17 years ago. For 13 years, too, he was organist there, resigning the position some years ago. Mr Woods was a member of the Rushden Park-road Baptist Church, and a member of the Higham Ferrers and Rushden Free Church Council.

Higham Children’s Outing
Scholars of the Baptist Sunday School had their annual outing on Saturday, when they had a pleasant country tour to Kimbolton, Huntingdon and Keysoe, where tea was prepared by the Rev. and Mrs. E. Bishop, of the Baptist Church, and helpers. The party then journeyed to Bedford, where the remainder of the evening was spent on the river or in shopping. The Rev. T. W. Gill (pastor) accompanied the party, and Messrs S. L. Hunt and T. C. Woods made the arrangements.
