|
The Buglers of the Church Lads' Brigade and the Boys' Brigade will sound the "Reveille" from the roof of the Town Hall and in other parts of the Town.

The Fire Brigade will fire the First Signal Rocket.
|

6.10 a.m.
|
The Fire Brigade will fire the Second Signal Rocket.

The Fire Brigade will fire the Third Signal Rocket.

The Higham Ferrers Ringers under the leadership of Mr. George Randall will ring a Peal on the Bells of St. Mary's Church.

|
The Mayor and Corporation accompanied by the Band, Fire Brigade, the St. John Ambulance Brigade, the Church Lads' Brigade (King's Colour Company), and the Boys' Brigade will attend a SPECIAL CORONATION SERVICE at St. Mary's Parish Church. The Service will be conducted by the Vicar, the Rev. G. M. Davidson, M.A. (Mayor's Chaplain), and the Lesson will be read by the Rev. Watkin Jones, Minister of the Wesleyan Church.

|
Children under 14 years of age will assemble at the Council Schools, and will be marshalled in order by Mr. F. W. Margetts, Head Master, and the Assistant Masters and Mistresses, and will proceed in procession to the Market Square, headed by the Higham Ferrers Town Silver Prize Band.

11.15 a m.
|
Children under 14 years of age, assembled on the Market Square, will be presented by the Mayor with specially cast Coronation Medals, and appropriate songs will be sung by the children under the leadership of the Headmaster.

11.50 a.m.
|
The Mayor, Magistrates, Members of the Corporation, Clergy, Ministers, Officials, Education Committee, and the various Public Bodies and Societies will assemble on the Market Square. Local Members of the H Company 4th Battalion Northamptonshire Regiment, and Northants Yeomanry, the Fire Brigade, St. John Ambulance Brigade, the Church Lads' Brigade (King's Colour Company), the Boys' Brigade, Postmen, and men who have served in His Majesty's Naval or Military Forces will be drawn up on the Market Square.

|
The King will be acclaimed. The Higham Ferrers Town Silver Prize Band will play the National Anthem. Companies and Brigades will present arms or salute as the case may be. The Public are requested to uncover and sing "God Save the King."

The Procession to the Castle Field will be formed.
|

A Public Luncheon to Men over 16 years of age, will be held in a Marquee erected in the Castle Field. Tickets must be given up on entering the Tent. Upwards of 650 Men will sit down to Luncheon at the same time.

2.15 p.m.
|
The Children of the Town will assemble at the Council Schools and march to the Castle Field, headed by the Band.
|
|
2.30 p.m.
|
The Sports in the Castle Field will commence.
|
|
2.45 p.m.
|
The Children's Tea in the Marquee will commence, upwards of 700 children will sit down to Tea.
|
|
3.45 p.m.
|
A Meat Tea to Women over 16 years of age will be given in the Marquee. Upwards of 750 women will sit clown to this Meal.
|
|
7.0 p.m.
|
At conclusion of Sports, the Mayoress, Mrs. Owen Parker, will plant an Oak Tree at Moat Corner (Kimbolton Road).

9.30 p.m.
|
A Torchlight Procession will be formed in the Castle Field. The Procession will be formed by a double line of Torchbearers and Coloured Fire-bearers, and will proceed from the Main exit of the Castle Field via College Street, Wood Street, and Station Road to Mr. Chamberlain's Field on the Chelveston Road.

9.55 p.m.
|
Signal Rocket will be fired.
|
|
10.0 p.m.
|
The Bonfire will be lighted by the Mayoress and Mrs. F. Joseph Simpson. The Fire Brigade, Ambulance Corps, Church Lads' Brigade and Boys' Brigade will be formed round the Bonfire.

10.20 p.m.
|
A selection of Rockets will be fired.
|
|
10.40 p.m.
|
The Torchlight Procession will be reformed and will proceed by Kimbolton Road, College Street, High Street, back to the Market Square.
|
|
11.10 p.m.
|
GRAND FINALE. The whole assembly will sing "Auld Lang Syne" on the Market Square.
|
|
11.30 p.m.
|
The Band will play the National Anthem. The Public will uncover and sing "God Save the King."
|
|
