Bozeat Casualties – One Man Killed and Three Wounded
Pte. R Tomkins, of the Bedfordshire Regt., aged 23, has been fatally wounded in the head.
Pte. B. Partridge, of the Beds. Regt., was wounded on July 1st.
Pte. A Drage, wounded in the forearm, is in hospital in London.
Mr W Botterill, shoe manufacturer, had a letter on Tuesday from his youngest son, Frank, in France, stating he was wounded.

Joined Up—Dr. S. E. Selby, of Bozeat, has again joined the colours, being drafted to the R.A.M.C. He left on Tuesday. The doctor had previously been on active service, having been home about six months.

Killed—Sergt. J W Partridge, Northants Regt., a teacher in Bozeat Council School, aged 21, was killed by a sniper.
Spotted Fever—Pte. Arthur Abbott, Sherwood Foresters, single, aged 31, of Bozeat, died in France from spotted fever.

The Friends of Pte. John Perkins, Essex Regt., the well-known sportsman of Bozeat, who has been reported missing for nine weeks will be pleased to hear that his wife has received a postcard from him stating he is a prisoner of war in Germany.

Bozeat - Prisoner of War – Mr W Goodman has received a postcard from his son, Pte. Ray Goodman, Essex Regt., who was officially reported missing on March 21st, stating that he is a prisoner in Germany.
