Wymington Brownies

News Echo, Thursday February 12th 1976, transcribed by Kay Collins

Brownie leader says farewell
The Woman who started a village Brownie pack 15 years ago has retired as its leader.

Miss Pat ball has been Brown Owl of Wymington Brownies since the pack’s formation in 1961.

During the special parents’ evening last week Miss Ball, and Tawny Owl Mrs Anne Cox, were presented with a small gift by the Brownies.

The presentations were made by the new Brown Owl, Miss J Tuffley. Among those attending the presentation were a number of ex-Brownies who had been members of the pack over the years.

The Brownies then entertained with singing, games and traditional Brownie songs.
