Miss Mary Sutton Rowlatt

The Funeral of Miss Mary Sutton Rowlatt took place in Newton churchyard on May 26th. The mourners were Mr. Robert Rowlatt and daughter, Mr. Alfred Rowlatt and daughter, Mr. Arthur Rowlatt and daughter (brothers and nieces), Mr. Bailey Mortimer and Mrs. Williams, Mrs. William Mortimer (niece) and Reggie Mortimer, Misses Beatie Rowlatt and Sarah Rowlatt (nieces), Miss Dora Williams and Willie Mortimer.

Wreaths were received from the following: Mr. Robert Rowlatt and family (Thurning), Mr. Alfred Rowlatt and family (Great Staughton), Mr. Arthur Rowlatt and family (Easton), Mr. B. Mortimer and Mrs. Williams (Newton), Mrs. William Mortimer and family (Rushden), a bunch of flowers from great-nieces and nephews at Easton and Sandy, from Bessie (niece) and Mr. and Mrs. McCleery.

We regret to announce the death of Miss Rowlatt, who passed away at 6.30 on Tuesday morning at “The Cottage,” Newton Bromswold. Deceased had been housekeeper for 33 years for Mr. B. Mortimer. The funeral takes place at Newton Churchyard tomorrow (Saturday) at 2 o’clock.
