Newton Bromswold Obituary —The village has lost its oldest inhabitant by the death of Mr Richard Kent at the age of 84.

For many years he had been an invalid and passed away yesterday week. He was interred in the village churchyard on Saturday last, the service being conducted by the Rev W R Taylor.

The chief mourners were Mrs Kent (widow), Mr R Kent (son), Mrs Kirby (daughter), and Mr F C Chambers (cousin). There were also present Mrs R Line, Mrs N King and Mrs C Hartop.
