The books ends here with a note "transferred to new book" but no other book is deposited at NRO

From the receipts for 1934, it seems fund raising was a continual effort and Mrs McCartney was in charge of a group of ladies (but we have no idea what they were doing) and Mr Boddington was running Whist Drives. Perhaps the ladies made jam or cakes or did craft work and sewing?

The supplies were from Rushden shops; Fairey's was an ironmongery where Peter Crisp Ltd is today. Whittington & Tomlin were carpenters, Hooton's Bazaar sold fancy goods, and Mr Battersby was a grocer.

See the Trade Directories under the genealogy section for Rushden
