Christopher Odell - will 1618

In the Name of God Amen the seaventh day of November in the yeare of our Lord one thousand sixe hundred and eighteen I Christopher Odell of Newton in the countie of Northampton singleman Being of perfect mynde and memory therefore praysed be Almighty God And considering the short and uncertain estate of mans life in this world doe intend and purpose by the Sufferance of Almightie God to make and declare this my present  last Will and Testament in manner and forme following First I commend my soule into the hands of Almightie God my onely Lord and Saviour trusting and stedfastly beleeving yt by the infinite mercies in Christ Jesus he will receeve the same into everlasting glory And I bequeath my body to the earth from whence it came to be decently buried by the discretion of my executor hereafter nominated Item I give and bequeath to my mother Grace Woodfeild ten pounds of good and lawfull money of England to be paid unto her within six months next after my decease Item I give and bequeath to my brother Thomas Woodam Tenn pounds of good and lawfull money of England to be paid to him within halfe a year next after my decease Item I give and bequeath to my sister Alice Woodam ten pounds of lawfull English money to be paid unto her within one whole year next after my decease Item I give and bequeath unto Margery Odell the now wife of my brother John Odell twenty shillings Item I give and bequeath to Richard Odell the sonne of my said brother John Odell the some of five pounds of current English money to be paid him when  he shall accomplish the full age of seaventeen years Item I give and bequeath unto Mary Odell and Margerie Odell the daughters of my said brother John Odell ffortie shillings a peece to be paid unto them either at the daie of their marriage or twenty one years of their age which of them it shall please god first to happen Item I give to my godsonne Christopher Odell Tenn shillings Item I give to my Godsonne Daniell Abbott Tenn shillings Item I give and bequeath to the poore of Newton aforesaid in the said county of Northampton Tenn shillings All the rest of my moveable goods cattells and chattels whatsoever unbequeathed my debts paid my legacies performed and my funeral expenses allowed I give and bequeath unto my said Brother John Odell whom I make and ordaine sole executor of this my present will and testament And I desire my father Richard Woodfeild to be overseer and supervisor of the same to whom I give ffive shillings desiring him to be ayding and assisting to my said Executor in the execution of this my last will and testament And hereby I utterly revoke and renounce all other former Wills and Testaments heretofore by me made In witness whereof to this my present last Will and Testament I have sett my hand and seale the daie and yeare first above written in the presence of
