Johnson Allen the elder - Will 1834

This is the last Will and Testamentof me Johnson Allen the Elder of Newton Bromshold in the county of Northampton Farmer made when of sound mind memory and understanding I give and bequeath to my Son Johnson Allen of Newton Bromshold aforesaid Farmer his executors and administrators All my ready money Security and Securities for money Household Furniture, Farming Stock Crops of Corn Grain and Hay and all other my Personal Estate and Effects whatsoever and howsoever and of what nature or kind soever the same shall or may consist at the time of my decease Subject to the payment thereout of my just debts Funeral and Testamentary expenses and the Legacy or Sum of Fifty pounds which I hereby bequeath to my Daughter Elizabeth the Wife of Joshua Marshell of Yelden inthe County of Bedford Miller to be paid to her by my said Son Johnson Allen within twelve calendar months from the time of my decease And I do hereby appoint my said Son Johnson Allen Sole Executor of this my Will In Witness whereof I the said Johnson Allen the Testator have hereunto set my hand and affixed my Seal this nineteenth day of February in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and thirtyfour.

On the twenty second day of August one thousand eight hundred and thirty eight Johnson Allen of Newton
Bromshold in the County of Northampton, Farmer, the sole Executor named in the within Will was sworn
well faithfully to fulfil the same according to law and that the goods chattels and credits of the within named
deceased at the time of his death
which happened on the eighteenth day of February one thousand eight
hundred and thirty eight, did
not amount in value to the sum of one hundred pounds.
