WI at one of Miss Simpson’s meetings

Outing—Thirty-one members of Chelveston Women’s Institute joined about 1,200 others at Watford Court (the home of Lord and Lady Henley) yesterday week. Travelling by ’bus the party started at 10.30am stayed at Northampton and East Haddon for refreshments and arrived at Watford Court at 2.15. The party were much interested in the fancy dress parade, singing by the various groups and sketches.

CHELVESTON members enlivened a Women's Institute group meeting on Thursday with 'The Family Group,' an amusing sketch from which this scene is taken. Characters are Grandma (Miss E. Miller), Aunt Maria
(Mrs. Dunmore), Emily (Miss Peacock), Father (Mrs. Baker), Eade (Miss M. Dunmore), Photographer (Mrs. A. Patenall). Mrs Baker was the producer.
