In the name of god amen I Richard Ruffe of Chelv… in the Countye of North’ton husbandman being sick in bodye yet of perfect memory (the lord be praysed) do make my last will & testament

Imprimis I bequeath my soule to god that gave it my bodye to the grounde & my goods to the world as followeth

Item I give & bequeath unto Rose Sylby daughter of Antony Sylbye of Ketteringe in the Countye of North’ton laborer the summe of thirtye thre shillings foure pence of good & lawfull money of England

Item I give & bequeath unto Ann my now wife all my household stuffe whatsoever Item I give her more one cowe foure sheepe & a hogge to be kept & maynetayned upon the farme by myne executor as well as any of his owne to be th… & the profit of them at her discretion I give her more one halfe acre of wheate & one acre of barley & one acre of pease yearely duringe her widowhood the first yeare to be sowne at the cost & charges of myne executor & every yeare after she to finde the seade & the lande to be appointed & sett out every yeare at the discretion of my supervisors if my wife & myne executor cannot thereon agree

Item I give unto Ann the wife of Jhon Ruffe my sonne the corne & hangings in the chamber in the hall & the ..sterd…nes

All the rest of my goods & chattels moveable & unmoveable whatsoever I give & bequeath unto William Ruffe my youngest sonne Whome I appoynte ordeyne & make the full & sole executor of this my last will & testament

Item I do ordeyne & make Henry Knighton of Raunds & Jhon Ruffe my sonne supervisors of this my will & testament & doe give them six pence a pece

Item I give to the poore of the parish halfe a quarter of barley at the discretion of myne executor

In witnesse whereof I have sett to my hand & seale the foure & twentieth daye of November in the year of our lord god one thousand six hundred and twenty one
