William Bynge - 1521 will

In the name of god Amen the vj th day of the monyth of May the yere of our lord M ccccc
xxj I Wylliam Bynge of Chelston in the county of Northampton being seke in my body
& holle of mynde make my last wyll in thys man[ner] off wyse first I bequeath my sowlle
to god almighty to our lady seynt Mary & to all the holy co[m]pany of hevyn & my body to be
buryed in the chyrch yard of seynt John Baptyst off Chelston a for sayd as nere
unto my wyffe as may be quenyantly* also I bequeath for my mortuary my best beest
as the custome ys & the man[ner] of the towne ys Also I bequeath to the moth[er]
chyrche of Lyncoln iiij d Also to the hye alt[er] for tythys & offerings forgot
viij d also to the torchys a bushel of barley also the bells ij bushell
off barley also the maynteny[n]g off the sepulchre light a bushell
barley also I bequeath to Elyzabeth my dawt[er] an ewe & a lambe also I bequeath to
the sayd Elysabeth an acre of Barley lyenge upon Brodenede furlong Also to the
same Elysabeth a halffe acre of peyse lying in a certeyn furlong cawld (hurcroft)
to the same Elysabeth ij rode off barley bying upon a furlong callyed (sydhalfe)
also I bequeath to the sayd Margytt my wyffe in money iij li Also I bequeath
to Elyn & Elnor Alys & Agnes my dawght[er]s all the residue of my goods my wyll
p[er]formyd & my detts payde Also I wyll that Thomas Mun[n]e** of Tech(merse)*** have
custody & kepyng of my chyldern A fore namyd with all the residue of my goods
